Okonkwo: Leaving ADC After Ticket Loss Means Compromise

Kenneth Okonkwo, a prominent chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), asserted that any party member who departs after failing to secure the presidential ticket is compromised. This statement was made during an interview on Saturday, where he emphasized the integrity of the party's members.

His remarks coincided with speculation regarding former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi's possible defection to the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC). Okonkwo also accused members of the Citizens' Boar Movement (CBM) of selling their conscience for personal gain.

He expressed support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid, criticizing politicians who align with movements that do not represent the collective will of the Igbo people. Okonkwo described such political maneuvering as scavenging for crumbs from the president's table, advocating instead for maintaining dignity and relevance without resorting to political patronage.
