Radamel Falcao Set to Become Colombia's Assistant Manager

Radamel Falcao, a former striker for Chelsea and Manchester United, is poised to take on the role of assistant manager for Colombia's national football team. This development comes after Falcao recently became a free agent, concluding a two-year tenure with Bogota club Millonarios.

The Colombian Football Association (FA) has identified the 40-year-old Falcao to serve as the number two to national coach Nestor Lorenzo. This decision follows the departure of previous assistant Luis Amaranta Perea, who left to manage the Medellin club Independiente.

Falcao holds the record as Colombia’s all-time leading goalscorer, with 36 goals in 104 appearances. His illustrious playing career includes significant stints at FC Porto, Atletico Madrid, and Monaco.
