Zamfara Community Guards Uncover Hidden Weapons in Fish Cargo

In Zamfara, the Community Protection Guards discovered AK-47 rifles, a rocket-propelled grenade, and ammunition concealed in fish cartons during a routine search operation. The guards, led by Salisu Adamu, intercepted the vehicle in Dangulbi community and uncovered the weapons despite initial resistance from the driver, Bashar Mustapha.

The driver claimed ignorance of the hidden weapons, and a female passenger associated with the arms incident managed to escape. Authorities are conducting further investigations to track down the suspect.

The incident highlights ongoing concerns about the illegal movement of weapons in Zamfara despite military operations against bandit groups.
