Lere Olayinka, a Senior Special Assistant, responded to Peter Obi's criticism of the Nigerian government's international passport cost hike. Olayinka refuted Obi's claim that the passport cost was higher than the minimum wage, stating it has never been below the minimum wage.

The Federal Government recently announced an increase in the passport fee, with the booklet now containing 64 pages. Olayinka emphasized that the passport cost is in line with global standards and the cost of living worldwide.
