Masai Ujiri Appointed Team President of Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks have named Masai Ujiri as their Team President and Alternate Governor. Ujiri will oversee all aspects of the Mavericks' basketball operations, including roster construction, player personnel, and scouting.

He aims to shape the organization’s long-term basketball philosophy and commitment to winning championships. Ujiri, recognized as a great basketball leader, joins the Mavericks with a decade of experience in NBA front office roles, having most recently served as Vice Chairman and President of the Toronto Raptors, where he led the franchise to its first NBA championship in 2019.

He is also the founder of Giant Africa, a nonprofit organization launched in 2003 that focuses on empowering youth through basketball education and leadership development. Ujiri expressed pride in joining the Mavericks at a pivotal time and looks forward to collaborating with the team’s players and coaches to build a competitive roster.
