FG Supports Graduating Chibok Girls with Grants and Kits

The federal government has provided cash grants and empowerment kits to 30 graduating Chibok girls from Modibo Adama Federal University of Technology and the American University of Nigeria (AUN) in Yola, Adamawa State. Each of the 12 graduates from AUN and 18 from Modibo Adama received one million naira, along with catering or tailoring kits for those who graduated in those fields.

Additionally, parents of the Chibok girls received cash grants of two hundred thousand naira each and items such as deep freezers and sewing machines to support their families. The initiative also extends to 21 Chibok girls set to graduate from AUN in 2027 and 33 newly admitted into vocational training programs, who will receive similar grants upon graduation.

Hajiya Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim, the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, emphasized the significance of the event, highlighting the government's commitment to empowering women and children. This initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, focusing on human capital development.
