FG to Rebuild Iddo Bridge in Lagos After Structural Damage

The Federal Government intends to demolish and reconstruct three spans of the Iddo Bridge in Lagos following structural damage from fire and illegal occupation. The project aims to address long-standing structural defects and enhance safety.

Traffic diversions will be in place, with heavy vehicles restricted from using the bridge. Measures include height barriers, traffic control, and awareness campaigns for drivers.

The reconstruction is expected to be completed by early March 2026. Relevant traffic and security agencies are collaborating to ensure smooth traffic flow during the construction period.
