Dena Lu Wins Easter Medal Title in Abuja Golf Event

Dena Lu, a Filipina golfer, secured the Easter medal title at the Jonathan Golf Club in Abuja, delivering an impressive performance with a gross score of 96 and a net score of 62 after playing off a handicap of 34. This achievement allowed her to clinch the best net prize and overall medal winner title among 109 competitors in the ladies' division.

Lu maintained a steady rhythm throughout her round, avoiding costly mistakes and demonstrating solid driving and clutch putting. Nwobodo finished second with a net score of 69, while P.C.

Ajayi secured the runner-up position with a score of 67. C.

Adakol recorded the best gross score in the category. The event, part of the Easter Fiesta and the first quarter 2026 ladies' medal event, was highlighted by strong participation and camaraderie among golfers.

Lu expressed her excitement about the win, noting it was her third victory in Nigeria, where she has lived for ten years and considers herself Nigerian.
