Brian Odey Wins APC Primary for Yala 1 Constituency

Hon. Brian Odey emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) state assembly primary for Yala 1 constituency, held on Wednesday.

He received 4,841 votes, defeating his closest rival, Franci Peter, who garnered 28 votes. Other candidates included Mari Mark Ogbech with 61 votes and Johni Odo with 33 votes.

The primary election was conducted across six INEC wards in the Yala 1 state constituency, including Echumofana, Gabu, Okpoma, Okuku, Yach, and Yahe. Following his victory, Hon.

Hon. Brian Odey previously served in the Cross River State House of Assembly as a member of the Labour Party before aligning with the APC following a Supreme Court judgment.
