Nigerian House of Reps Agenda: 2026 Budget & Electoral Bill – Dec 18 2025

On Thursday, 18 December 2025, the Nigerian House of Representatives sat to consider critical financial and legislative matters affecting every Nigerian. Top of the agenda was approving the 2026–2028 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF), which sets the economic targets underpinning next year's ₦54.46 trillion federal budget.

Lawmakers also returned to debating a bill that could rewrite Nigeria's election laws from scratch.
