Lookman and Boniface Suffer Major Market Value Drops

In the 2025/26 season, Super Eagles players Ademola Lookman and Victor Boniface faced substantial declines in their market values, attributed to injuries, poor form, and reduced playing time. Boniface, who began the season valued at €40m, saw his value plummet to €5m following a failed transfer to AC Milan due to medical concerns and a disappointing loan spell at Werder Bremen, where he scored no goals in 11 Bundesliga appearances.

Lookman, initially valued at €60m after a successful season with Atalanta, saw his value drop to €40m after scoring only three goals and two assists in 19 matches. His proposed transfer to Inter Milan fell through, leading to a sale to Atletico Madrid for around €40m in February 2026.

Other players like Taiwo Awoniyi and Terem Moffi also experienced declines in their market values, with Awoniyi dropping to €8m and Moffi to €8m after injuries and poor performances.
