Josh Maja Joins Le Havre on Free Transfer from West Brom

Josh Maja has completed his move to Ligue 1 club Le Havre on a free transfer, as confirmed by the Super Eagles on their X handle. The 27-year-old striker joined Le Havre from West Bromwich Albion after being a free agent since leaving the Sky Bet Championship club last month, where he turned down a new contract.

Maja is set to sign a two-year contract with an option for an additional year. Le Havre identified him as a crucial addition to their attack following the departure of Issa Soumare to Rennes.

Maja previously had a successful stint with Bordeaux, scoring 29 goals in 93 appearances. During his three years at West Brom, he netted 19 goals across all competitions but had a limited role in the 2025/26 Championship season, scoring four league goals in forty appearances.

Maja has scored a total of 81 goals in 291 appearances throughout his career and has one cap for the Super Eagles, earned in a friendly against Ukraine in 2019.
