Appeal Court Strikes Out Nnamdi Kanu's Rights Suit as Moot

The Court of Appeal in Abuja dismissed Nnamdi Kanu's rights enforcement suit due to his conviction and subsequent relocation to a correctional facility, rendering the case moot. Kanu, leader of IPOB, was convicted on multiple charges by the Federal High Court.

His counsel, Maxwell Opara, confirmed Kanu's transfer from DSS custody to a correctional facility. The court upheld a previous ruling by Justice Taiwo Taiwo, stating that Kanu failed to establish violations of his rights.

Justice James Omotosho presided over Kanu's conviction on terror charges.
