NDC Establishes Reconciliation Committee for Unity

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has formed a reconciliation committee in response to grievances expressed by members during the party's primaries. This decision was made following a meeting of the party's second national executive committee (NEC).

The committee's primary task is to promote unity within the party, which has faced divisions due to internal contests. The NDC leadership is committed to addressing corruption and ensuring financial probity within the party.

To this end, the party has introduced stringent financial disclosure policies for candidates vying for various offices at local, state, zonal, and national levels. These policies mandate full disclosure of campaign donations, including personal monetary sources and contributions made to campaigns.

Furthermore, the NEC has established rules for the routing of funds dedicated to party campaigns, specifically for presidential and governorship accounts, to uphold transparency and accountability in resource management.
