Tinubu's Government Accused of Factionalizing ADC

Paul Ibe, an aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has accused President Bola Tinubu's government of sponsoring a faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) led by Nafiu Bala. This accusation arises amid emerging divisions within the ADC, which has led to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) derecognizing the leadership of former Senate President David Mark.

Ibe reiterated that there is no faction within the ADC and stressed that Mark continues to serve as the party's national chairman, with Rauf Aregbesola acting as the national secretary. The situation has escalated with Oyo State Governor visiting ADC leaders to express solidarity during a protest in Abuja, which was part of the recent political turmoil.
