Troops Intensify Manhunt for ISWAP Logistics Suspect

Troops from the 212 Battalion, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have intensified their manhunt for a logistics suspect associated with the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Borno State. The suspect, identified as Mallam Malti, is believed to be involved in supplying arms and ammunition to ISWAP elements.

This operation was initiated following credible intelligence regarding the suspect's movements. Mallam Malti was last seen in the Golaram area near Gubio, reportedly carrying a bag containing weapons intended for delivery to terrorists.

Despite the suspect evading arrest, troops successfully recovered an AK-47 rifle with an empty magazine concealed in a shelter during the operation. Security sources indicated that efforts to apprehend the suspect are ongoing, with close monitoring of known associates and networks linked to him.
