US Lawmaker Claims Virginia Shooter Linked to ISIL in Nigeria

US Congressman Riley Moore has alleged that the shooter involved in the recent attack at a Virginia university had previously met with members of the extremist group Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Nigeria. The shooter, identified as Bailor Jalloh, a former member of the Virginia National Guard, was convicted of supporting ISIL.

During the attack, Jalloh entered a classroom filled with ROTC students and opened fire while shouting "Allahu Akbar," which translates to "God is great" in Arabic. The FBI is investigating the incident, which saw several ROTC students bravely confront and subdue the gunman, preventing what could have been a far deadlier massacre.

Congressman Moore criticized the circumstances surrounding Jalloh's release from prison prior to the attack, describing the developments as alarming and unacceptable, especially given Jalloh's alleged ties to a terrorist organization.
