Weststar Launches New Mercedes-Benz Atego 1726 in Nigeria

Weststar Associates Limited, the Authorized General Distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Nigeria, has launched the new Mercedes-Benz Atego 1726, succeeding the Atego 1725. This model is designed to meet the demands of transport and logistics businesses in Nigeria.

The Atego 1726 features enhanced engineering, improved drivetrain technology, and operational efficiency. It is powered by a six-cylinder, 7.2-litre diesel engine, delivering 256 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque, suitable for demanding cargo operations.

The truck includes a High-Performance Engine Brake system, providing up to 300 kW of braking power, which enhances vehicle control and reduces maintenance costs. The Atego 1726's adaptable chassis platform allows for various body configurations, making it ideal for industries such as FMCG logistics, beverage transportation, and construction.

With a Gross Vehicle Weight of 17.1 tonnes, it is engineered for substantial payloads while ensuring stability and ride comfort.
