Wike Waives Fees for Nigerian Law School to Boost Infrastructure

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has approved the waiver of Certificate of Occupancy fees for the Nigerian Law School located in Abuja, specifically in Bwari. This decision was made during a meeting with the school's management on Thursday, where Wike instructed the Director of Land at the FCT Administration to expedite the waiver process, ensuring that the necessary documents are ready within one week.

The waiver follows an appeal from Dr. Olugbemisola Titilayo Odusote, the Director General of the Nigerian Law School, who expressed concerns about the institution operating without proper documentation.

Wike emphasized the importance of regularizing land ownership to enhance the school's operational capacity. Additionally, he committed to several high-priority projects aimed at resolving overcrowding and improving staff efficiency, including the completion of 10 staff quarters and the construction of new hostels for male and female students.

Wike also highlighted the need for a new auditorium and directed the school to explore digital solutions for ongoing challenges.
