Tragic Wildfire in Spain Claims 11 Lives, 19 Missing

A wildfire in Los Gallardos, Spain, has resulted in at least 11 fatalities and left 19 individuals missing. The disaster occurred on Thursday afternoon when a loose power cable ignited dry scrubland amid a severe heatwave, exacerbated by strong winds.

Emergency crews reported that four British nationals were found deceased in a vehicle, while seven others died attempting to escape on foot. The rapid spread of the fire cut off traditional escape routes, leading to panic among tourists.
