11 Dead, 7 Injured in Edo Highway Crash: FRSC Urges Caution

A tragic road accident on the Benin-Asaba Highway in Edo State resulted in the death of 11 passengers and injuries to 7 others. The incident, which occurred when an 18-seater commercial bus attempted to overtake a vehicle and collided head-on with another, prompted swift rescue operations by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

Cyril Mathew of the FRSC emphasized the dangers of reckless driving and urged strict compliance with traffic regulations. In a separate incident in Lagos, a minibus driver lost his life in a crash along the Ikorodu Road.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) was involved in the rescue and recovery efforts.
