1808 Foundation Charity Golf Tournament Aims to Rescue 1,000 Out-of-School Children in Nigeria

The 1808 Foundation organized the 5th edition of the charity Junior Golf Tournament in Abuja to raise awareness and mobilize support for returning 1,000 out-of-school children to classrooms by 2025. The event, themed "Rescue School Children," aimed to address Nigeria's deepening education crisis affecting over 20 million children.

Joseph Onu, the Executive Director, highlighted the Foundation's commitment to youth development and social impact beyond fundraising. Dr.

Fortun Hayab emphasized leveraging golf as a social tool to instill values and broaden opportunities for young Nigerians. Despite security challenges affecting participation, the Foundation plans to return 200 children to school across various states.
