Ousmane Dembele has surged to the top of the 2025 Ballon d'Or ranking, with Lamine Yamal following closely behind. The French international leads the nominee list for the prestigious award, with six PSG players, two Barcelona players, one Liverpool player, and one Real Madrid player making the top 10.

Mohamed Salah has dropped to fifth place, while Kylian Mbappe is in eighth place. Salah, who was named CAF Player of the Year, had an outstanding season in the Premier League, scoring 29 goals and providing 18 assists.

Despite his achievements, Dembele is the favorite to win the award after scoring 35 goals and providing 16 assists for PSG in their quadruple-winning season, including the UEFA Champions League. Cristiano Ronaldo, despite a stellar season, was snubbed from the top list.
