Nigerian Athlete Enekwechi Advances to Shot Put Final at 2025 WAC in Tokyo

Nigerian athlete Chukwuebuka Enekwechi has advanced to the men's Shot Put final at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, setting a new National African record. Enekwechi secured his place in the final with impressive throws, marking his third consecutive appearance in the global championship final.

However, his compatriots Chioma Obiageri and Pamela Amaechi were eliminated early from the Championships. Enekwechi's remarkable performance places him among the top contenders in the final, with New Zealand's Tom Walsh leading the pack.
