Abba Kabir Yusuf Appoints Emir of Gaya Amirul Hajj 2026

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has appointed the Emir of Gaya, Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, as the Amirul Hajj for the upcoming 2026 Hajj exercise. This appointment was officially announced in a statement released on Tuesday by the Director General of Media and Publicity, Sunusi Batur Dawakin Tofa.

Additionally, Muhammad Muhammad Maharaz has been appointed as the Deputy Amirul Hajj. The governor's decision aims to ensure effective coordination and successful conduct of pilgrimage activities for the Hajj.

The Kano State Pilgrim Welfare Board has been directed to provide maximum support to the Amirul Hajj and his deputy to facilitate smooth operations throughout the pilgrimage exercise.
