Tinubu Calls for Unity During 2026 Ramadan Season

On Wednesday, during the 2026 Ramadan tafsir at the State House mosque in Abuja, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu highlighted the coinciding of Ramadan with the Christian Lenten season as a unique opportunity for Nigerians to reunite and foster peace and stability in the country. He expressed gratitude to God for this period, urging citizens to embrace unity and collaboration.

Tinubu emphasized the importance of understanding, forgiveness, and goodwill among Muslims and Christians alike, aligning with the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad. He called for prayers for the nation, seeking divine guidance to overcome challenges such as terrorism and banditry.

The sermon was attended by notable figures, including the Chairman of the Nigerian Governor Forum, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, and Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, among other ministers and officials. Tinubu concluded by asking for God’s blessings on his health and strength to improve the welfare of Nigerians.
