FIFA Investigates South Africa Over Player Eligibility in World Cup Qualifiers

Mokoena, who plays for Mamelodi Sundowns, was suspended due to yellow card accumulation but still participated in a qualifier match against Lesotho. FIFA accused the player association of breaching disciplinary regulations by fielding Mokoena.
