Moroccan Referee Jalal Jayed to Officiate Super Eagles vs Congo Final in 2026 WCQ Playoff

Moroccan referee Jalal Jayed has been appointed to officiate the final match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo in the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff. The match is set to take place on Sunday.

Jayed has previously officiated five Super Eagles matches, including a game against Rwanda where Nigeria emerged victorious. Other officials involved in the match include Mustapha Akarkad and Zakaria Bernissi as assistant referees, with Riyad Mahrez and El Malki as the fourth official and VAR duty respectively.

Haitham Guirat from Tunisia will also be part of the officiating team.
