Accord Party's Olajengbesi Aims for One Million Votes for Tinubu

Pelumi Olajengbesi, the Accord Party candidate for the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, announced his goal of mobilizing over one million votes for President Bola Tinubu in Osun State for the 2027 presidential election. This statement was made after a meeting with Seyi Tinubu, the President's son.

Olajengbesi, who is also the spokesman for the re-election campaign of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, emphasized that the reconciliation achieved in the state post-governorship election has created a favorable environment for supporting Tinubu. He stated, “With the reconciliation achieved in Osun State and the commitment expressed by Governor Ademola Adeleke towards President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our political objective is clear.” In the recent governorship election, Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party won with 511,067 votes, while Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress received 444,815 votes.

The Independent National Electoral Commission reported that Osun State has over 2.3 million registered voters, with 1.9 million Permanent Voter Cards collected.
