Kwara LG Boss Backs AbdulRazaq for 2027 Election Choice

Lukman Agbeler, the chairman of Ilorin East Local Government Area in Kwara State, stated that council chairmen across the state will support Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's choice for the 2027 governorship election. Agbeler emphasized that no local government chairman would publicly align with any aspirant without the governor's direct endorsement, asserting that they would support whoever AbdulRazaq prefers, even if it were an unlikely candidate.

He noted that council chairmen are preparing to mobilize grassroots support for the chosen candidate. Agbeler also addressed the political loyalty debate, reaffirming his allegiance to AbdulRazaq, and criticized a proposed N200 million renovation project for a primary healthcare center, claiming the costs were exaggerated and not properly documented.

Meanwhile, Governor AbdulRazaq has denied endorsing any aspirant for the upcoming election, rejecting claims of favoritism and asserting that the party will adopt an open merit-based process for candidate selection.
