Court Cases Target ADC, Favor APC Ahead of 2027 Elections

Ladan Salihu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), expressed concerns during a live interview on Polit Today that the court cases against the ADC are strategically aimed at ambushing the party. He claimed that these legal challenges are intended to create a clear pathway for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the lead-up to the 2027 general elections.

Salihu referenced the resignation of Nafiu Bala Gomb from his position within the ADC, indicating that Gomb's departure was a significant stressor for the party. He mentioned that Gomb had signed a resignation letter, which he believes is part of a broader strategy to trap the ADC and facilitate the APC's presidential candidacy.

Salihu emphasized that the ADC's legal team is actively addressing these matters, asserting that the situation remains critical for the party's future.
