Peter Obi Denies Rumored Alliance with Jonathan to Unseat Tinubu in 2027 Election

Former Nigerian Vice President Peter Obi has refuted rumors of an alleged agreement with ex-President Goodluck Jonathan to oust current President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election. Obi, a presidential candidate for the Labour Party in the 2023 election, clarified that no such political alliance exists.

The clarification came after speculations arose following a meeting between Obi and Jonathan in Abuja. Meanwhile, Yunusa Tanko of the Obidi Movement Worldwide spoke against the backdrop of the rumors.

Grema Kyari, a chieftain of the People Democratic Party (PDP), hinted at the possibility of Jonathan's return to ensure stability for economic transformation.
