Minister Warns APC Against Dropping Northern Muslim from 2027 Presidential Ticket

Hannatu Musawa, the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Creative Arts, has cautioned the All Progressives Congress (APC) against removing a Northern Muslim from the presidential ticket for the 2027 election. She believes that such a move, particularly replacing the Vice President with a non-Northern Muslim, could undermine Bola Ahmed Tinubu's chances in the upcoming general elections.

Musawa expressed concerns during a recent media appearance, highlighting the potential backlash of not including a Northern Muslim on the ticket. She stressed the need for a proper understanding of the Northern region's sentiments, cautioning that hasty decisions could lead to negative consequences.

Musawa also mentioned her former husband, Abdul Samad Rabiu, the owner of the BUA Group, expressing pride in their past marriage and personal choices. Additionally, Primat Babatunde Elijah Ayodele has issued a warning ahead of Nigeria's 2027 elections against the risks associated with a Muslim-Muslim ticket, citing potential challenges to national unity and security.
