Top APC Officials Hint at Two Northern Governors Defecting to Party Ahead of 2027 Elections

Top APC officials have hinted at two Northern governors planning to defect from the PDP to the ruling party ahead of the 2027 elections. Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau and Governor Agbu Kefa of Taraba are reportedly in talks to join the APC led by President Bola Tinubu.

This potential move comes after Governor Peter Mbah and Duoy Diri of Enugu and Bayelsa respectively recently joined the APC. The defections signal a shift in political alliances as the APC aims to strengthen its foothold, while the PDP faces internal discord and defections.

Notable political figures like Atiku Abubakar and David Mark have also defected to other parties.
