APC Councilors Unite Under Ganduje for 2027 Elections

On July 29, 2026, four factions of councilors within the All Progressives Congress (APC) merged to form a single unified platform aimed at enhancing the party's grassroots structure. This historic reconciliation was facilitated by Dr.

Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the former National Chairman of the APC and former Governor of Kano State, at his Abuja residence. The factions involved were the Progressive Serving Councilors’ Forum of Nigeria, Coalition of Past and Present APC Councilors of Nigeria for Tinubu/Shettima 2027, National Progressive Councilors’ Forum, and National Association of Past and Present Progressive Councilors.

The merger resulted in the dissolution of independent operations, with leaders pledging to relinquish their titles in favor of the new structure. The newly formed body consists of the National Progressive Serving Councilors’ Forum (NPSCF) for current councilors and the National Progressive Former Councilors’ Forum (NPFCF) for past councilors.

Dr. Ganduje was appointed as the Grand Patron, and a Caretaker Committee was established to oversee operations, ensuring balanced representation across geopolitical zones.
