Nwifuru and Umahi Rally Ohanivo Support for APC

At the 2026 Iri Ji (New Yam) Festival in Ohanivo, Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru called on the community to maintain their support for his administration and the All Progressives Congress (APC), highlighting their backing for his second-term bid as a sign of confidence in his leadership. Nwifuru expressed gratitude for the community's commitment, stating, “You showed capacity and made me believe in you.” He also praised Minister of Works David Umahi for his contributions to the development of Ebonyi and the Southeast.

Nwifuru urged support for Senator Anthony Okorie and local House of Representatives members, emphasizing their roles in legislative representation. He addressed infrastructure issues, recalling a promise made regarding road development.

Umahi, in his remarks, reaffirmed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC, declaring, “There is no vacancy for other parties in the administration,” and emphasized the need for unity in supporting the APC's initiatives in the Southeast.
