Duhu Defends Governor Fintiri's Political Influence in Adamawa

Duhu, an APC chieftain, issued a statement on Monday countering claims that Governor Ahmadu Fintiri's political influence in Adamawa State is waning due to the emergence of a candidate from the APC. He described the allegations as “baseless and speculative,” responding to a circulating article titled “Adamawa State in 2027: Another dark horse again?” Duhu emphasized that Fintiri is the “de facto and de jure political leader” of the state and that his alignment with the APC serves the interests of Adamawa residents.

He stated that the selection of Tijjani Ahmed Galadima as the APC flagbearer followed due process and reflects the governor’s grassroots philosophy. Duhu reaffirmed Fintiri’s commitment to defending the political rights of Adamawa people and maintaining a united APC under his leadership.

He warned against misinformation and urged for issue-based political engagement, stating that attempts to undermine the governor or the APC would lead to legal and political consequences.
