Aregbesola Proposes INEC Nomination Process for Credible Elections

Rauf Aregbesola, the national secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has proposed a method for nominating the INEC chairman and commissioners to ensure credible elections in Nigeria. Aregbesola suggested that political parties, with at least five lawmakers in the National Assembly, should nominate individuals to lead the INEC.

He emphasized the need for transparency and fairness in the nomination process to boost public confidence in the electoral system. Aregbesola's proposal aims to reduce the likelihood of electoral manipulation and enhance the credibility of future elections in Nigeria.

The suggestion comes amidst calls for electoral reforms to strengthen the democratic process in the country.
