Marafa Promises to Resolve Zamfara Insecurity by 2027

Senator Kabir Marafa, the governorship candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress in Zamfara State, declared his commitment to resolving the state's insecurity issues within two years if elected in the 2027 general election. During a media chat with members of the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in Gusau, Marafa stated that he would voluntarily resign if he could not end insecurity, insurgency, kidnapping, and other criminal activities within that timeframe.

He emphasized his extensive experience in government, having served as a commissioner and senator, which he believes equips him to understand and tackle the challenges facing Zamfara. Marafa's pledge reflects a strong commitment to addressing the pressing security concerns in the state.
