Dalung Critiques ADC Primaries Producing Atiku Abubakar

Solomon Dalung, the former Minister of Youth and Sports, publicly stated that he is not proud of the primaries that resulted in Atiku Abubakar being selected as the presidential candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC). In an interview with podcast host Seun Okinbaloye, Dalung criticized the conduct of the ADC's primaries, describing them as falling below expectations and not good enough for the current democratic stage in Nigeria, which he noted has been developing for 26 to 27 years.

He emphasized that the ADC should have performed better in the electoral process and mentioned issues such as rigging and falsification of results. Dalung's remarks come amid discussions about the ADC's preparations for the upcoming 2027 general elections, asserting that the coalition is not dead and is still in the process of forming strategies for future electoral success.
