Kogi East APC Backs Tinubu, Ododo for 2027 Elections

Ahead of the 2027 general election, stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi East Senatorial District have expressed their full support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. They issued a communiqué after their Strategic Leadership Conference in Abuja, emphasizing the need for a new political power rotation framework in Kogi State.

The stakeholders rejected any political arrangement that marginalizes Kogi East and called for direct negotiations with Kogi Central and Kogi West on equitable terms for power transition. Their immediate goal is to secure victory for the APC in the January/February 2027 elections and to mobilize support for Governor Ododo’s re-election in the November 2027 governorship election.

They highlighted Kogi East's significant electoral contributions in the 2023 presidential election and expressed a commitment to rebuilding trust among the senatorial districts to ensure inclusive development and a fair share of resources for Kogi East.
