Peter Obi Claims Government Blocking 2027 Candidacy

Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and a presidential candidate for the Labour Party, has raised concerns regarding the federal government's efforts to obstruct his candidacy for the 2027 elections. During a sixty-minute interview on Magic FM in Aba, Obi stated that the current administration is determined to ensure he does not participate in the upcoming presidential race.

He criticized the new electoral law signed by President Bola Tinubu, describing it as a shameful attempt to exclude candidates based on alleged forgery crimes. Obi emphasized the need for experienced leadership to address Nigeria's economic crisis and leadership challenges.

He made these remarks while being monitored by the Daily Post, alongside Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe and several members of the ADC in Aba.
