2027: NNPP considers coalition, set to take key decisions at NEC meeting

The New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) is considering forming a coalition as part of its preparation for the 2027 general election. The party will be making key decisions at its upcoming National Executive Council (NEC) meeting scheduled for August 28.

The meeting will address issues such as party congress, national convention, mass mobilization of new members, ongoing constitutional review, and taking a clear stance on issues affecting Nigeria's democracy. The NNPP National Publicity Secretary, Ladipo Johnson, stated that the party remains open to three options: forming an alliance, contesting the election independently, or supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Johnson emphasized that the party's actions and decisions must align with its principles, values, and national interests. The party is urging its members to actively participate in the voter registration exercise and prepare for mass mobilization.
