NDC Rejects Unauthorized Presidential Campaign Council

The Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially disowned a Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) that was announced by John Ugulu, associated with the OK Movement, ahead of the 2027 general elections. This disavowal was articulated in a statement signed by the party's National Chairman, Cleopas Moses, on a Saturday.

Moses clarified that the announcement made by Ugulu was unauthorized and did not originate from the party. He stated that moving forward, no individual or group is permitted to announce or publish any campaign structure in the party's name without the approval of the NDC's National Working Committee (NWC).

The statement emphasized that the NDC dissociates itself entirely from the OK Movement's PCC announcement and urged the public and media to disregard it. Furthermore, Moses reiterated that all candidates must recognize they are not independent but are representatives of the party, subject to its authority and discipline.
