Obi and Kwankwaso Supporters Unite for 2027 Elections

On a recent Friday, supporters of Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, and Rabi'u Kwankwaso, the leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), held a unity summit in Abuja. This gathering is seen as a strategic effort to align political interests in anticipation of the 2027 elections.

The summit's theme was "Voice on Vision, Unity to Win," and it featured eight speakers, including Buba Galadima, Aisha Yesufu, and Isaac Fayose. Other notable attendees included Adebayo Adefolasey, who is associated with the Ok Movement and serves as the South West coordinator.

The summit took place amid ongoing discussions about potential defections to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), indicating a dynamic political landscape as the 2027 elections approach.
