Obidient Movement Denies Peter Obi-Goodluck Jonathan Alliance Talks for 2027 Presidency

The Obidient Movement has refuted claims of alliance talks between Peter Obi and Goodluck Jonathan for the 2027 presidential election. The movement's nation coordinator, Yunusa Tanko, clarified that the discussions were friendly and centered on mutual respect and common interests in Nigeria's development.

Speculations linking Jonathan to a possible return to the People Democratic Party (PDP) or African Democratic Congress (ADC) have intensified. Tanko emphasized that the talks do not imply any political pact to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

The political direction of Peter Obi for 2027 remains uncertain, as he is a full member of the Labour Party (LP) and part of the opposition coalition adopting ADC. Tanko highlighted that the recent meeting between Jonathan and Obi in Ghana was not indicative of any concrete plans for 2027.
