Ogun Assembly Backs Senator Adeola for 2027 Governorship

On Wednesday, members of the Ogun State Assembly officially endorsed Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola for the governorship in the upcoming 2027 elections. This decision was announced by Yusuf Sheriff Abiodun, who spoke on behalf of the 26 lawmakers present at the Nigeria Union of Journalists secretariat.

The assembly members cited Adeola's extensive experience and contributions to both the state and the nation as key reasons for their support. This endorsement follows the earlier backing of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027 by the same assembly members.
