Atiku Claims Coalition Candidate Can Defeat Tinubu in 2027

In a recent interview on Arise Television, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar expressed confidence that a united opposition coalition candidate could unseat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections. He criticized Tinubu's administration, particularly its economic performance, stating that it has been disappointing and has not met expectations.

However, Bwala, a former spokesperson for Atiku, dismissed this assertion, arguing that Atiku lacks the political strength to defeat Tinubu. Bwala emphasized that the coalition candidate's chances are further diminished by the absence of a solid political base and structure, particularly at the state governor level.

He noted that the coalition's current political standing is weak and that aggrieved leaders within the coalition do not inspire confidence in their ability to challenge Tinubu effectively.
