Tinubu Meets National Assembly Leaders Ahead of 2027 Elections

On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu convened a closed-door meeting with the leadership of the National Assembly at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The meeting aimed to enhance cooperation between the executive and legislative branches of government in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

The discussions were prompted by growing disagreements between the executive and the legislature, particularly regarding budget implementation and constitutional amendments.

The President expressed concerns over recent tensions, especially during plenary sessions, and emphasized the need for a united front as the nation approaches the elections.
