Shettima Submits Tinubu's Nomination for 2027 Election

On Thursday, Kashim Shettima, the Vice President of Nigeria, submitted the nomination form for Bola Ahmed Tinubu's candidacy for the 2027 presidential election under the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform. Shettima called on Nigerians across political, religious, and social divides to rally behind Tinubu, describing his leadership as pivotal for the country's recovery and growth.

He noted that the formal parliamentary campaign had not yet begun but stressed the importance of national unity in supporting Tinubu's administration. Shettima praised Tinubu's leadership and the administration's agenda, which aims to yield positive socio-economic outcomes for Nigeria.

Nentaw Yilwatda, the APC National Chairman, described the moment as a symbol of continued governance reform and reaffirmed the party's unanimous endorsement of Tinubu for a second term.
